You
Can Help!
Volunteers
Wanted
The rewards of being involved in helping children and families cannot
be measured by tangible means, nevertheless, the rewards are great.
If you are wondering how you can find a rewarding way to get involved
and help children and families, contact our Volunteer Coordinator
Chana Smikle at 301-609-9887 or email
smikle@center-for-children.org. The Center for Children
offers many options for individuals or groups to help us carry out
our mission at both our La Plata and Leonardtown offices. We have
a way for you to donate your unique talents and time, and it is nice
to feel like you are making a difference in the lives of children
and families in your Southern Maryland community.
Special
events such as the Annual Golf Tournament, Children's Holiday Party,
Day of Caring, and other opportunities are available for you to
assist with our programs, meet our children and families, and talk
with our talented staff members. You can also assist with specific
programs or departments in our offices, help with community health
fairs, and work at our community fundraisers. Days and hours vary,
and some assignments are possible via computer if you work at home.
Watch the Center for Children website for upcoming event dates.
The possibilities are endless - just give us a call and we will
do our very best to match your interests to our agency's needs.
