Therapeutic Groups
The following therapeutic groups are now offered:

"Anger Management Group" with Dr. Binal Ward, PsyD
(ward@center-for-children.org)

• A fun and interactive way to learn anger triggers, warning signs, behaviors, coping skills and problem solving
• For kids 5-10 and a parent/caregiver
Thursdays at 5:00 pm for 10 weekly sessions



“Kids in the Middle” with Yufei Chen, LGSW
(chen@center-for-children.org)

• A safe therapeutic environment for kids to learn coping and communication skills, address separation and visitation anxiety as well as addressing the emotional/behavioral issues triggered by parents’ separation/divorce or the visitation between two households
• For kids 7-11 and parent with physical custody of child
Tuesdays at 5 p.m. for 12 weekly sessions



“Paving the Path to Healing”
with Kristen Zacheis, LGSW and Meredith Flanagan, LGPC
(zacheis@center-for-children.org and/or flanagan@center-for-children.org)

• A therapeutic group for non-offending parents of sexually abused children to facilitate a safe environment to manage the emotional impact of sexual abuse on the parent, learn coping and communication skills as well as healthy ways to guide the abused child through the process of healing
• Parents of children of all ages are welcome
Saturdays at 2 p.m. for 10 weekly sessions



"Building Self-Esteem and Healthy Coping Skills" with Ann Pearl, LGSW
(pearl@center-for-children.org)

• Fostering a healthy setting for teen girls to learn healthy coping skills to prevent self-destructive behaviors and manage the effects of mood disorders
• For girls ages 12-17
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for 12 weekly sessions



“Reclaiming My Voice” with Marion Murphy-Price, LCSW-C
(Murphy-price@center-for-children.org)

• Facilitating a safe, therapeutic environment for female victims of sexual trauma to learn healthy coping skills, effective communication skills and manage the emotional effects of trauma
•For girls ages 13-18
Thursdays at 6 p.m. for 12 weekly sessions
