Donations

You Can Help…

An important way you can help the Center for Children (CFC) is through a financial donation. Proceeds will benefit CFC in its mission to provide prevention, awareness and treatment of child abuse. The Center for Children is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Donations can be sent to the Center for Children at 6100 Radio Station Road, P.O. Box 2925, La Plata, MD 20646. Your generous gift goes directly to supported children and families in need in your community. Please review our Annual Report. We were honored as non-profit of the year in 2009 by the Charles County Community Foundation and received many accolades over the years for our community work.

Another opportunity is to donate goods or services towards the Center for Children. We regularly post our immediate needs on our wish list. All donors/sponsors that provide a wish list items are listed on our website and recognized in our newsletter. It is an excellent opportunity for businesses to advertise while helping a great cause! Corporate Sponsorships are another unique opportunity for businesses in Maryland to partner with the Center for Children in the fight against and the treatment of child abuse. Not only will your contribution be considered a tax-deductible donation, but you may also be able to apply for Community Reinvest Tax Credits (CITC). The Center for Children is compliant with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, CITC program requirements (click here for more infomation)

There are many excellent opportunities for local business to do something good and invest in the surrounding community. The Center for Children will recognize your company on our website, in a variety of the materials printed for annual events and in our newsletter. Get your employees involved.
